Too often, therapy focuses only on managing symptoms without really understanding the root cause, so things like anxiety, self-doubt and stressful relationship patterns just come creeping back.

When you are praised and rewarded for wonderfully caring for others, it is easy to lose sight of your own needs and desires. Now you have a nagging voice inside that knows you want something better, but you have no idea how to get it.

It can be challenging to absorb all of the positive information, if your old belief patterns automatically respond with reasons why that positive stuff can’t really apply to you! Again, if you don’t heal the root cause, then all the positive stuff will bounce right off of you or even make you feel worse.

I’m here to show up as my authentically-imperfect self, so that you know you’re not alone—maybe for the first time in your life.

Can a therapist be compassionate, spiritual (not religious) and swear a lot, all in one session? Yes! I show up as the authentic me to help you discover the authentic you!

Yes, I have the degrees and 25 years of experience as a therapist; these give me some credibility. But what will foster a greater sense of connection is how I show up with you in session as a real person—and btw, do not get me started on how terribly t.v. and movies portray therapists! I have been on my own healing journey, and will continue to be. I intentionally create a space where you can be authentic: the good, the bad and the ugly are all welcome to show up, because I know I have needed judgment-free places so I could understand myself better too.

I am here to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery, and guide you in creating a life with more ease and confidence!

You already know a lot of stuff about what people need to feel better. That’s why having a typical therapist isn’t going to be enough for you, and here’s what I will help you do differently:

  • You might have survived significant abuse or neglect as as a child, but what if these were not a part of your experience? Did you realize that you can have significant emotional struggles just from having parents that didn’t pay enough attention to your emotions, or if they didn’t manage their own?
    I will help you explore how aspects of your childhood (aka, the roots) from a new perspective, so that you can see how these patterns are showing up in your present. Think of the analogy “We have to move the furniture to see the dust if we want to understand why we keep sneezing.”

  • You might have wondered why the same relationships and experiences seem to keep happening in your life, over and over again: “Why does everyone leave me? Why do I keep getting overlooked? How do I keep dating basically the same guy?” Our beliefs about ourselves not only influence our choices, but I’ll offer an additional consideration: You energetically attract more of what you believe to be true, like a magnet! Many people refer to this as manifesting, but don’t realize that the determining factor is not in what you say, but rather what you feel.

    I will show you how to become aware of what you are attracting, and how to start shifting what you attract to you!

  • Whether you align with a particular religion or not, you have access to Greater Loving Forces in the Universe that are ready to support and guide you! My role is never to force beliefs upon you, but rather to invite you to develop a deeper, authentic connection with your Higher Power, so that you can have actual experiences that demonstrate that you are supported and loved. These experiences help to heal the rooted beliefs that we are not worthy, deserving or supported. For those that choose, we can incorporate tools such as meditation, tarot cards, and tapping into this spiritual connection for messages of support.
